Nambu

I have been on Twitter for well over a year now and I must admit that I am a part-time Twitter user. To be honest, it is really hard to keep up with Twitter conversations when you are away from your computer for extended periods as I am. When I come back to my desk and realize that I have about 100-200 tweets to catch up on in 3 minutes before the next class comes in . . . well I must admit that I just tune it out a majority of the time.

I was introduced to a new Twitter client today called Nambu. Nambu is very similar to Tweetdeck (which I used in the past, but it just killed my iBook G4) in that it can have multiple columns to show more information.

Nambu can be used with your the following accounts: Twitter, FriendFeed, identi.ca and Ping.fm. It is in beta as of now, so it may be buggy for you, but it has worked well for me so far.

Nambu does support Growl and even installed it for me as I had not put it back on since I reformatted my laptop.

I have it set up on my computer with 3 active columns (Twitter Home, Twitter Mentions, and Twitter Sent). So how does it look?

I like it.
