1/2 Scale Hummer

Just thought I would share with the world one of the project currently progressing in our shop. My Pre-Engineering class is constructing a 1/2 scale Hummer H1 for a statewide Supermileage Challenge sponsored by the MTEA.

We do realize that a 1/2 scale Hummer does not stand a chance against most of the vehicles that will show up at the competition. Our intention when we first envisioned and started designing the vehicle was to create something different that would turn heads. I think that this will do it.

We still have a long ways to go, but we have been moving very rapidly this quarter. We have less than a month until the competition, and we still have a lot of work to do on the body and the mechanics. I will keep you updated as of our progress as it becomes available.
