Technical issues on both of our vehicles officially ended our day early yesterday when our Magneto failed on our #78 and electrical problems plagued the #97. We did not have nearly the success we where hoping for when we left on Sunday, but we did have our highlights:
Getting both vehicles through the detailed Technical Inspection
Watching everybody stare in awe at the Hummer
Watching the Hummer finish and receive 57.09 MPG
Stopping at the Go-Kart track on the way home and logging in some serious racing laps
It was sad in that the students that came with this year were all seniors, so this will be the last thing that I do with them as they graduate this weekend. They worked so hard this semester and their dedication was inspiring.
I am looking forward to next year already and I have ideas for next years crew.
